On September 20th, the four Patanatic students Nurses Assistance
graduated after completed all requirements of the program. They receive a
Diploma that certify them as NURSE ASSISTANCE.
Rotarians from Topeka South were witness of this amazing accomplish.
Woodland and ACONANI thank all the people of the Patanatic community that support the students during this journal. Our deep gratitude to you because you believe and support the students during this two years.

Topeka South Rotary Club –
Guatemala September 2012
Rotarians from the Topeka South Club (Kansas) participate in the
Service Above Self trip on from September 16 to 22. During this trip the team participated in the
de-worming campaign providing medicine to more than 1800 students in the
communities of Patanatic, San Luis Patanatic, San Andres Semetabaj, Cerro de
Oro, San Juan La Laguna and San Pedro La Laguna.
The team also participated in the monitoring and evaluation of the
water filters and installed 35 new water filters with the new water system that
last for 9 to 10 year and purify 18 lts of water every 45 minutes.
In this Rotary team were: Patty Bossert, Kyle Smith, Faron Barr, Michael
and Maria Wilson, Michael Culp, Kimberly Erickson and Jorge D. Coromac VP
Programs of Woodland Charities.
Patty Bossert provided sewing training to the students of six grade of
the Patanatic Elementary school Mike Culp and Maria Wilson also help during the
sewing classes.
Faron, Kyle, Kim and Mike Wilson work hard in the community farm/garden
building new homes for the rabbits, planting coffee trees and flowers that are
part of the community production for the nutrition program. The team also
support the access to health program performing glucose test for the patience
enroll in the diabetes program and they also provide neonatal kits for the new
babies of the community.
On November 15th Woodland Public
Charity will celebrate ten year of humanitarian work. Please let us know if you
will be able to attend the event and let’s celebrate together this amazing
journal.
